Amanda Greyson was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, North American continent, Terra, Sol-Jupiter system, in the year 2176. She was raised in a good Lutheran Christian home, learning the values of tolerance and compassion. She became a school teacher and, on a field trip to the United Nations of Earth complex in New York City, she chanced to meet a handsome young Vulcan diplomat, one Sarek Sepaklrn (see Sarek). Little is known of their relationship, or their courtship, but it is a fact that they were wed by Federation contract in the year 2200. Amanda was just 24 years old.
It is also a fact that their marriage was affirmed by Vulcan ceremony in the year 2207, and that in 2208, Amanda was delivered of a son, whom she and her husband named Spock (see Spock). It was a difficult pregnancy and a more difficult delivery, leaving Amanda unable to bear more children.
It is known that she dotes on her son, but also that she respects the Vulcan traditions of her husband. Therefore, her son was raised in those traditions - making him (some would say) just a little bit neurotic. Some would also say that she fought for her son's Human heritage and that was what made him just a little bit neurotic. There are even some who claim that listening to his parents argue about such things - and hearing his mother always, at the last, give in - is what made him just a little bit neurotic. Amanda would say that she doesn't care, she loves her son.
Amanda is a strong, maternal woman, with a sharp intellect and the patience of a saint. Her relationship with Sarek's mother, T'Pau, is a formal and distant one. She hopes this will not be the case with her own daughter-in-law.
Amanda and Sarek remain happily married, residing on Vulcan in the family home at Dar Salaq to this day. Amanda eagerly awaits the birth of her first grandchild.
